Model Labs started in a garage. They had $50,000 worth of equipment sitting next to an original 1964 convertible Mustang. They ran the whole business on two computers. One was a Macintosh, so naturally they decided to design their own website with Apple iWeb.
OLD SITE
Well, that was fine and dandy for 2008, but 3 years later Model Labs LLC is a full fledged product development company. The iWeb site was every new clients first impression. And nothing says, home based business like an iWeb site..... except for a Microsoft FrontPage site! :-) Anyways, Model Labs decided to upgrade their storefront, repaint the walls, remodel the offices and put there best foot forward. Actually, we are talking about redesigning their website from the ground up using Joomla CMS. Its much cheaper than remodelling a brick and motor store.
Their business had expanded and their website needed to incorporate all the new aspects of their growing business. Nothing does this better then Joomla. Joomla is a CMS or Content Management System. That means that Model Labs could throw anything on the site and Joomla would integrate it automatically into a professionally designed page. The partners have administrative access to the CMS and can modify the site via a web browser in real time and see the actual results live online.
