Joe was a friend of a friend of a friend that had a friend tell him that I designed websites. His business wasn't doing so hot, so I hesitated to talk about his budget to run a website. He said he already had one but it was designed by his neighbor. The problem was that even though she lived next door she always had a reason not to update the website.... and then she just stop returning is calls. Da da da dummmmm.
So i had to ask.... "can I see your website?" And so here it was:

First thing that made me cringe was the Adobe Flash orange menu on the left. Flash menus have one fatal flaw..... search engines do not see them. The only text that Google had indexed for this page was "Glass Railing".
After we agreed on a fee, I dug into the existing site to copy content off and into the new Joomla site. I found 10 keywords out of 42 total pieces of text on the entire site. There was only 42 words on the whole site! OMG!
We later found out the Joe isn't exactly spilling out copy for his site. So it is a slow process to get him to update his own site..... did you read that? Yes, Joe can log into the front end of his site and edit the images and text on his own. That is the power of Joomla!
